What does it mean to be truly hungry and have no where to turn?

What is Your Dream?

Today is Martin Luther King Day in the U.S. Dr. Martin Luther King was a leader of the Civil Rights Movement in the 1960s. His dream was for all people to live together peacefully, with equal rights.

Dr. King had a dream for our country. Dreams are an important part of planning a good future. Think about a dream you have for yourself and this world. Write a well-developed paragraph about your dream and how you plan to accomplish it.

Assessment piece: You should write at least one entry that you feel fully represents your personal best. This entry should be at least 10 sentences long. COPS will count.

Have fun and be productive as you share your day with your classmates. I may even post a few comments myself.

To Drink or Not to Drink

Now that we have almost completed the novel, Tuck Everlasting, discuss the following questions with each other:
  • Would you want to live forever?
  • If so, what age would you want to remain?
  • What would happen to the world if no one ever died?
  • What would happen if someone selected which people could live forever?

Remember, when blogging to respect and hear each other's opinions. Comment back to each other constructively, without passing judgement on the other. Come to a conclusion following each thought.
